As the expiration date of our current contract continues to approach, it is critical that we build awareness among the public for our campaign to secure respect for southern California's grocery workers.
That's why we're launching a sticker campaign to let our customers know that they can get updates on our campaign through their cell phones by texting the keyword RESPECT to 30644.
Stickers based on the image to the right will be distributed at the stores and our tabling locations on Saturdays, or you can click here to download a printable PDF copy of the sticker.
But that's just the start of the fun -- to encourage you to tell customers about this easy way for them to get involved in our campaign, we're launching a photo contest to provide an extra incentive to get involved.
We'd love to get pictures of you, your colleagues and your customers wearing the stickers in the store, so please take as many pictures as possible -- you can even use your cell phone camera -- and email them to us at: photos@respectufcw.com.
We'll be posting the best pictures on the website and awarding special prizes for the best ones, so be creative and the more people you involve in the photos, the better!
Instructions for emailing photos directly from your cell phone
While all cell phones and providers are different and the specific instruction for emailing a photo may vary, the process for emailing a picture from your phone is in most cases almost identical to sending a photo to another cell phone.
General instructions:
- Take a picture with your cell phone and store it on your phone
- Go to your picture gallery and select a picture to send.
- Click options, then click Send.
- Instead of entering another phone number at this stage, simply enter photos@respectufcw.com in the "TO:" field.
- Insert your name and email address in the body of the message so that we can follow-up with you if you are a winner.
- Click Send.
